Ananse stories are part of ancient mythology, rooted in West African folklore. Ananse existed from the time when gods, humans, and animals were able to converse with each other.

When Ray was younger, his mother would read Ananse stories to him and his siblings as a way to connect them with their Ghanaian culture. The tales were always funny and carried a moral lesson, leaving a lasting impact on him. Inspired by those childhood memories, Ray has long wanted to recreate these stories for a new generation, allowing them to experience the same joy and cultural connection he once did.
